Denas Color a.s.

The Company's beginnings go back to the year 1991 when 4 partners started a firm that dealt with, among others, the surface protection of materials and later also with the production of paints. The Company's diverse activities resulted in the separation of business activities and in expansion in the area of paints production. On November
8, 1994, a new company called DENAS COLOR a. s. was founded in the form in which it is known today. The Company's core activities were based on two technical fields, namely the development and production of water-based paints, fillers and glues and the implementation of surface treatments of various materials.
The new production of water-based paints was launched on reconstructed premises. On 1995 the Company started work on the development of a broad range of paints for steel and ferroconcrete structures used in various branches of the metal working industry.

The concept of paints development and production was consulted with the world's leading manufacturer of dispersions, ROHM AND HAAS, that also became the main supplier of production components. Since their very beginning, the development and production efforts have been relying on qualified staff, their professional competence and many years of experience in the field of water-based paints development and manufacturing. The development projects resulted in launching several special paints, especially in the area of the metal working industry. It did not take long and DENAS COLOR a.s. became the leading developer of industrial water-borne paints in the Czech Republic.

At present, the Company primarily specializes in supplying paints to engineering companies (protection of mechanical parts and technological wholes), foundries (protection of grey alloy casts, ductile iron, cast steel and malleable iron) and in providing paint systems designed to protect steel and concrete structures. It is mainly in the area of products supplied to the engineering industry that the Company offers paints that respect a variety of application conditions at individual customers' and that are formulated in line with environment protection requirements.

During 2007 the Company launched a special product line whose method of application was developed with a common customer as a final user in mind. The primary aim of this line was to offer a common consumer with a quality paint which, however, does not require complex surface preparation and application. Furthermore, the Company also wanted to make this assortment easily available, which was enabled through a network of retailers (Kouzlo barev, Barevný ráj, Barvy a laky Hostivař, Bal Slovakia) and chain stores (supermarkets Hornbach, OBI, Baumax and Globus).

The other field of business pursued by the Company is the implementation of steel structure and component protection.

This type of production takes place in the Company's specialized workplace in Lískovec u Frýdku-Místku where comprehensive anticorrosion protection of steel structures, technological units (railroad and road bridges, noise barriers) and small parts is secured. Respecting the multitude of customer requirements, the Company carries out paint applications across the Czech Republic. Its implementation team consists of employees with many years of experience in the area of surface protection. The specialized production premises are equipped with an up-to-date technology that facilitates expeditious implementation of top-class surface finishes while taking into account diverse customer needs and environmental protection. Raw materials are shipped to the specialized workplace by road and by a railroad siding.

Surface treatment specification:

• - steel grit blasting
• - metallization by heat spraying of Al, Zn, ZnAL - Zinacor 850
• - paints - paint systems according to the customer's technical specification; e.g. systems from own production as well as the following systems: INTERNATIONAL, REMBRANDTIN, HEMPEL, DERISOL, AMERON, JOTUN, etc.
